Trains to London Cancelled Until Further Notice

Network Rail says a damaged overhead wire, 300-yard long, brought down by last night’s storm has led to services being halted.

The issue means trains between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central via Watford Junction, and between London Euston and Northampton via Milton Keynes Central, are unable to run in either direction.

Network Rail tweeted that engineers are on site working to fix the problem, but has advised people not to travel on these lines for the time being.

Ticket acceptance has been arranged with the following operators:

Chiltern Railways (between London Marylebone and Aylesbury)

London Midland (between London Euston and Tring)

Southern (between London Bridge and Watford Junction)

Virgin Trains (between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central)
