Man City 'keeping close tabs' on former Blades loan star

Sheffield United loanee impressing Pep Guardiola

Manchester City are reportedly 'keeping close tabs' on former Sheffield United loanee Rhian Brewster, as the striker continues to impress at Crystal Palace.

Brewster, who spent the 2020-21 season on loan at Bramall Lane, has scored four goals in his last six Premier League appearances for Palace, including a stunning brace against Manchester United.

His form has reportedly caught the attention of City boss Pep Guardiola, who is said to be a big admirer of the 22-year-old's pace, power and finishing ability.

Blades boss Slavisa Jokanovic 'disappointed' to see Brewster leave

Sheffield United boss Slavisa Jokanovic has admitted that he was 'disappointed' to see Brewster leave the club after his loan spell.

The Serbian coach said: "Rhian is a very good player and I was very happy with him during his time at Sheffield United.

"He is a young player with a lot of potential and I believe he has a bright future ahead of him.

Brewster 'open' to City move

According to reports, Brewster is 'open' to the possibility of a move to City.

The striker is said to be flattered by the interest from the Premier League champions and he believes that he could learn a lot from working with Guardiola.

However, it is understood that Palace are reluctant to sell Brewster, who is under contract at Selhurst Park until 2024.
