Gijs Naber: Early life

Gijs Naber (born 21 June 1994) is a Dutch field hockey player who plays as a forward for HC Bloemendaal and the Netherlands national team.

Naber was born in Bilthoven, Netherlands. He started playing hockey at the age of 6 for HC Bloemendaal.

In 2010, Naber was selected for the Netherlands under-16 team. He made his debut for the senior team in 2016.

Gijs Naber: International career

Naber has represented the Netherlands at the 2016 Summer Olympics, the 2018 World Cup, and the 2019 EuroHockey Championships.

At the 2016 Summer Olympics, Naber helped the Netherlands win the silver medal.

At the 2018 World Cup, Naber helped the Netherlands win the bronze medal.

At the 2019 EuroHockey Championships, Naber helped the Netherlands win the gold medal.

Gijs Naber: Club career

Naber has played for HC Bloemendaal since 2010.

With HC Bloemendaal, Naber has won the Dutch Hockey League six times and the Euro Hockey League once.

In 2019, Naber was named the Dutch Hockey Player of the Year.

Gijs Naber: Personal life

Naber is married to Dutch field hockey player Marloes Keetels.

The couple has one child, a daughter.

Naber is a fan of football and tennis.
