Disneyland's Costly Day Out Just Got More Expensive
Disneyland Ticket Prices Keep Rising
Visiting the Happiest Place on Earth just got more costly. On Monday, Disneyland Resort in California announced it was raising ticket prices. The increase ranges from $5 to $65, depending on the date and ticket type. This marks the second time Disneyland has increased prices in the past year.
Why the Increase?
Disneyland cited several reasons for the increase, including the rising cost of operating the park, investments in new attractions and experiences, and the need to maintain a high level of service for guests. The park also noted that the new pricing structure will help it manage attendance and demand.
Historical Perspective
Disneyland has a long history of increasing ticket prices. Over the past decade, the average price of a one-day ticket has increased by more than 50%. In 2013, the most expensive ticket cost $95. Today, the most expensive ticket costs $194.
Impact on Families
The rising cost of Disneyland tickets is having a significant impact on families. For a family of four, the cost of a standard ticket now ranges from $416 to $776. This does not include the cost of food, drinks, souvenirs, or parking.
