Brisbane Broncos 2008 Roster

The Beginning of a New Era for the Broncos

Corey Parker and Sam Thaiday Make Their NRL Debuts

Massive Crowd for Home Opener

The Brisbane Broncos made their NRL debut in 1988, and two players who would go on to become club legends made their first appearances that year: Corey Parker and Sam Thaiday. Parker played four games in his rookie season, while Thaiday played three. Interestingly, the Broncos' biggest home crowd of the season came in Round 3 against the North Queensland Cowboys.

Parker and Thaiday would both go on to have long and successful careers with the Broncos. Parker played 346 games for the club and scored 130 tries. He was also a member of the Broncos' 2000 NRL Premiership-winning team. Thaiday played 304 games for the Broncos and scored 85 tries. He was also a member of the Broncos' 2006 NRL Premiership-winning team.

The Broncos have a long and proud history, and Parker and Thaiday are just two of the many players who have contributed to the club's success. The Broncos are currently one of the most successful clubs in the NRL, and they will be looking to add to their trophy cabinet in the years to come.
